The TL-SG1016PE is a 16-port Gigabit desktop/rackmountable switch with 8 ports that support the PoE+ standard. Provides a simple way to expand a wired network by transferring power and data over a single Ethernet cable. It has 150W of total power, up to 30W per port, thus being able to power more high-power devices such as wireless access points, IP cameras or IP phones. Furthermore, with innovative energy-efficient technology, TL-SG1016PE saves energy consumption, making it an eco-friendly solution for your business network.
Its 8 ports support the Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) standard which can automatically detect and supply power to any IEEE 802.3af/at compliant device. Thus, the electrical energy is transmitted together with the data in a single cable, allowing you to expand your network where there are electrical cables or sockets, where you want to fix devices such as AP, IP cameras or IP phones.
TL-SG1016PE has a priority function that helps protect the system when its power is overloaded. If the power consumption of all PoE+ devices is greater than or equal to 150W, a priority will be arranged among the 8 PoE+ ports, at which point the system will cut power to the lowest priority port.
Priority (Port 1>Port 2>Port 3>Port 4>Port 5>Port 6>Port 7>Port 8): This function will help protect the system if its power supply becomes overloaded. For example, ports 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 are using 30W (maximum power per port is 30W), system power is 150W in total (PoE max LED will turn green if power consumption of all PoE power supply ports is >/= 150 W). If there is an additional power supply inserted into port 5 with 20W, the system will cut port 6 to protect the system, which means that ports 1, 2, 3 and 4 will use 120W and port 5 will use 20W, and no power will be supplied to port 6.
